Soo Marine Supply, Inc was formed in 2003 and is owned by Sharon and Darwin J. “Joe” McCoy and has been converted from a Company owned entity to a privately owned retail supplier. The operation has a long history on the Sault Ste. Marie waterfront. It was previously owned by Great Lakes Fleet and prior to that by U.S. Steel and Pittsburgh Steamship. It is now privately owned and operated to sell galley, deck and engineering supplies to vessels passing through the St. Mary’s River or conducting port visits to various ports in the Great Lakes region. Customers can place orders directly to Soo Marine Supply at SMSOrders@soomarine.com for delivery by either our supply vessel OJIBWAY or via truck and trailer. We request a minimum of 48 to 72 hours to fill your order from our stocked supplies. Purchase orders are assembled and transferred to passing freighters by our supply vessel, OJIBWAY. Additionally, materials can also be delivered by truck and trailer at beginning of season (i.e., FITOUT) and throughout the Great Lakes during the regular shipping season. The company operates 24/7 during the shipping season, usually beginning in March and running into the middle of January.
