Star International is an established supplier to the maritime sector, servicing a diverse client base that includes leading cruise and ferry operators, shipping companies, shipyards, commercial ports and military organisations. Key areas of provision include: Marine chemicals Supplier of high-quality marine-grade chemicals across applications including cleaning and maintenance, fuel treatment, water treatment and disinfection. Refrigeration Supplier of all refrigerants used for marine applications. Refrigerants available include conventional gases in virgin and reclaimed form, together with a range of RS Series ‘drop in’ refrigerants. These operate within F-Gas guidelines and can replace banned refrigerants with little to no hardware modifications required. Star International is the official, global supplier for RS refrigerants to the maritime industry. Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (A/C) system maintenance and repair services are also available on-board ship from ports across the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe. A comprehensive range of refrigeration tools are also on offer. Firefighting equipment Star International supplies and services an extensive range of marine firefighting equipment found on vessels and offshore platforms, covering systems found on every deck of an asset from the helideck down. We have capacity to complete fire system servicing worldwide, including the supply, inspection and service of: • Breathing Air (BA) compressors • Fire suppression systems • Fire detection systems and alarms • Breathing Apparatus (BA) sets • Fire extinguishers • Fire hoses, couplings and accessories • Fire lockers, cabinets and equipment • Protection suits All firefighting equipment servicing is completed by our trained service technicians, in accordance with IMO 1432 (revised guidelines for the maintenance and inspection of fire protection systems and appliances). We also hold approvals from; DNV-GL, Lloyds and Bureau Veritas. Narwhal work and rescue boats Star International is the official distributor and service centre for Narwhal Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBs) in the UK and Ireland. Narwhal vessels are characterised by their highly manoeuvrable ‘V’ shaped hulls and a durable collar design that maintains buoyancy even in the event of a hull rupture. The range includes ocean-going workboats and rescue boats that have been developed specifically to meet the needs of commercial marine and offshore operators. All vessels can be configured to specific customer requirements, with a comprehensive selection of options and SOLAS approved models available. We also offer Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs), designed specifically for surveillance, piracy detection and border control applications.
